We are a multigenerational family business that has had a long commitment to sustainability in all that we do.
Two years ago, we were introduced to recirculating aquaculture technologies and were immediately taken by the opportunity for land-based aquaculture to grow healthy seafood locally.
The things that drew us to land-based aquaculture were:
The low environmental impact of growing seafood away from wild fish stocks
The opportunity to reuse water and potential for integrated fish and vegetable production
The ability to be located close to major city centers enabling a lower carbon footprint for transport and a fresher seafood product
The ability to eliminate the use of antibiotics and hormones
We are located in upstate New York in the town of Hudson. This area is a major food production center for the State. With New York and Boston being within a three hour drive, we’ll have the ability to deliver fish harvested in the morning into the cities by afternoon.
